Here's what you should know about the NBA title odds board:
West Update: The two favorite teams to win the title reside in the Western Conference: OKC and San Antonio. The Thunder swept the Suns in Round 1 and the Spurs dropped just one game to Portland. Now, OKC is left with Los Angeles, which it swept in the regular season, and San Antonio is left with a banged-up Minnesota, to whom the Spurs lost in the regular season series. There are still some uncertainties in each series. Will Anthony Edwards be healthy enough to take the floor for the Wolves? How effective can it be? Will Luka Dončić return in time to impact the OKC-LA series? What about Jalen Williams returning for the Thunder? If the odds hold (the Thunder are the favorites to sweep the Lakers and the Spurs are the favorites to sweep the Wolves), we will be looking at a Western Conference final between OKC and San Antonio.
Update This: The third, fourth and fifth teams on the title odds board reside in the East: New York, Cleveland and Detroit, respectively. New York was the only Eastern Conference team to get out of the first round in fewer than seven games, as the Pistons, Cavs and 76ers needed do-or-die wins in Game 7 to advance. Arguably the most impressive team of the group is the one closest to the bottom of the odds table: seventh-seeded Philadelphia. They beat second-seeded Boston despite being down 3-1, winning Games 5 and 7 on the Celtics' home court. While Cleveland simply won four games at home on its way to advancing, the top-seeded Pistons also trailed Orlando, 3-1, before winning the final three games of the series. New York is favorite to beat Philadelphia in five and Detroit is favorite to beat Cleveland in seven.
