To the editor: I am completely a democrat. Even so, I have always considered that the high -speed rail project is a disaster that continues to get worse. Now I find myself according to the president (what a bitter pill to swallow) in his decision to extract federal projects from the project (“The Trump administration obtains billions in funds for the high -speed rail project; state leaders call the 'illegal'” decision, July 16).
Governor Gavin Newsom should end his stubborn support for this debacle, whose sole purpose seems to be the coverage of the media for his inevitable presidential career. Instead, convert structures to be used only by trucks that move agricultural products throughout the state. The Central Valley is an agricultural mecca, not the travel corridor planned by the wrong defenders of the train anywhere.

To the editor: President Trump He complained repeatedly that the United States does not have beautiful airports as many other countries do while its administration He has raised concerns About the subway system of New York City. And yet, instead of collecting the California High Speed Railway Project and building it throughout the country to increase the general quality of our transport, it has withdrawn the funds from the State. China built a high -speed rail system that connects most of its main cities. Trump would prefer to maintain the financing that could be used for such a project here in the rich pockets with tax cuts.
He could have used his presidency to build wonderful things that everyone valued and admired, as the national parks of President Theodore Roosevelt. Instead, he is using his power more as a thug of school courtyard would.
