There are meetings of the municipal council to address problems, not for blasphemies.

To the editor: Armando Herman, Wayne Spindler and Stacey Segarra-Bohlinger can protest against speech restrictions at meetings of the City Council of Los Angeles (“The Los Angeles City Council prohibits N-Word and C-Word at meetings,” July 30). That said, people go to the council meetings to address important issues for them and their community, not to listen to blasphemies, racism or even sing.

The three mentioned in the article may think that they are defending freedom of expression, but in reality, they are simply important.
