Taylor Swift's critics can't stand the pop star's concern about politics

To the editor: Several letter writers seemed alarmed by Taylor Swift's support for Kamala Harris as a presidential candidate. Some even mentioned that entertainment is a business and therefore many stars refuse to advertise.

Well, how weak are they? Money, rather than integrity, is their driving force.

For me, and I'm sure for many others, it's heartwarming to see someone like Swift do what's right and necessary regardless of finances. I'm thrilled that she's shown such integrity and love for country by issuing her support.

How wonderful it would be if people from all walks of life did the same.

To the editor: Do some people really believe that Swift, just because she is a celebrity, does not have the right to participate in democracy and express her opinion?

She's willing to walk the talk with money to stand up for what she believes in. She's like former Republican Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, who risked their careers to stand up for what they believed in.

To the editor: Is it worth mentioning to the letter writer who suggests Swift stay away from politics because some Republicans buy her music that many Republicans are voting for Harris?
