One fast-food operator calls AI a “reward from heaven.” God wants a word

To the editor: It is curious that Harshraj Ghai, whose family operates 180 fast food restaurants in California, says that artificial intelligence is a “heaven reward” for his business. (“Fast-food operators rush to AI after minimum wage increases,” May 1)

I've been racking my brain and studying the Bible, and I just can't find the passages that extol the virtues of keeping the rich rich and the poor poor.

There is no verse that says, “You will drive your employees from paycheck to paycheck into unemployment and homelessness to make yourself even richer.”

It seems that the “god” in Ghai's “godsend” is a perfectly happy outlier with these franchise owners simultaneously serving God and Mammon.
