Nostalgia's adversary press conference for a different time

To the editor: “[Defense Secretary Pete] Hegesh … spent most of his time hitting the coverage of the media and personally insulting the reporters who interrogated him “((((“Pentagon leaders cite military tactics to show the destruction of US attacks against Iran.” June 26).

Maybe, at 84, I am aging, and maybe I simply do not stay with the times, but I really long for those distant days when press conferences provide real information through civil and polite and polite questions and answers.

Why is it not possible that President Trump, his press secretary or his cabinet are directed simply answer questions, even those who do not like, without attacking the interrogator? Each president has occasional adversity relationships with the press and with Congress, simply because each group is doing their job. It is worth remembering that “educated adversaries” is not an oxymoron in this context.

In fact, I have a nostalgic thought in those times instead of now, when the “alternative facts” are the answers to difficult questions, which are presented with confidence in the inability of the audience or the lack of desire, to verify the facts.
