A pair of Dallas Mavericks fans have gone viral after their reactions when Kevin Durant approached them after some boos on Thursday night.

The man in the viral video admitted to calling the two-time NBA champion a “b*tch,” but it was the woman's reaction that became a meme, leaving her hanging in a high-five.

Luke Brawner said he had called Durant that because his deceased friend, Luke, referred to him as such, because he was upset that Durant had left the Golden State Warriors in 2019. Brawner says he and the woman were gone. to the game in honor of Luke.

But Durant was not happy with the mockery and security threatened to kick them out. But Durant actually convinced security to leave them alone.

Brawner seemed surprised when Durant approached them, admitting that he didn't realize that athletes are human too, despite saying it was “just a joke.”

“I don't want to justify anything that was said,” Brawner told KEGL radio in Texas. “But I do want to provide some context. . . . It was just a joke to us, but we forgot the humanity of the person on the other end of that joke.”

“I'm used to seeing this person in the highlights,” Brawner said. “I'm used to seeing this person's face and I can yell at the TV all day, but you forget when he takes away the humanity.” of that person, that your words still matter.”

Brawner, however, seemed at peace with what he had done.

“Ironically, I think that moment honored my friend,” Brawner said. “Wherever people go after you die, wherever he is in the ether, he laughed – hard – and loved it… We had an amazing night. It didn't ruin our night in any way. But it was wild… “I didn't imagine so many people would find out about this.”
