UFC and Arman Tsarukyan avoid potential lawsuit after fan at center of viral hit video speaks out


The fan at the center of a viral video showing UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan throwing punches his way ahead of his fight against Charles Oliveira on Saturday is speaking out after UFC president Dana White expressed concerns about a potential lawsuit.

The incident took place while Tsarukyan was walking towards the octagon for his UFC 300 Fight against Olvería. Videos shared online appeared to show the 27-year-old fighter throwing a punch at a fan before security ushered him forward.

It was not immediately clear whether Tsarukyan hit the fan or what sparked the altercation, but on Monday the man came forward to clarify some things.

Obed Ardon said bloody elbow that he was attending the fight with his brother, and as he got caught up in the excitement, he turned the tables on Tsarukyan as he passed.

“I would like to apologize to Arman for provoking him by turning my back on him. I was talking all day and the timing got to me,” he said.

“It was my first time attending a live UFC event and it was absolutely incredible. I'm glad the incident wasn't as bad as it could have been. I want to be clear that I didn't attract him to me.” , shout offensive words or something like that. I didn't pay attention to him, nothing more. Congratulations to Arman for a great performance from him and good luck against whoever he fights for the title.”

During the post-match press conference, White expressed concern that the UFC could face a possible lawsuit, but Ardon made it clear to the outlet on Monday that he has no plans to take legal action.

In fact, Ardon hopes White will extend him an invitation to the next fight.

“To respond to Dana White's comments about the lawsuit: I won't sue, that never crossed my mind. My first thought was I hope they don't kick me out. Thank you Uncle Dana for blessing us with an amazing 300 card. ..and can you bless me and my brothers with tickets to UFC 303?”
