Police in Arkansas have launched a search after an inmate held on a murder charge and another detainee who is “suspected of homicide” disappeared from jail.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said Monday that Noah Roush and Jatonia Bryant “may have escaped” from the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center in Pine Bluff “within the past 48 hours.”
The Sheriff's Office said that around 10:30 a.m. Monday it “discovered that two of its detainees were missing” from the jail outside Little Rock.
“Both people should be considered dangerous and should only be approached [by] law enforcement personnel,” authorities warned. “At this time, every effort is being made to apprehend these suspects.

“JCSO is working cooperatively with Pine Bluff Police Vice and Narcotics, Arkansas State Police and the Arkansas Department of Corrections to locate these individuals,” the Sheriff's Office added.
Roush, 22, was being held on “probable cause of residential burglary and theft of property,” according to police. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said he “is also a suspect in a homicide,” without elaborating, and did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter from Fox News Digital.
Meanwhile, Bryant, 23, was being held “on probable cause of capital murder,” according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

It described Roush as a white man who is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds and has a scar on the right side of his head, while Bryant is a black man who is 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He weighs about 145 pounds.
“We had a head count this morning and they were missing, but it's really just a guess since we don't know at what point they were not at the facility,” Jefferson County Maj. John Bean told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette on Monday. adding that “We have two K-9 units working” and “They are both young people from the area.”

The newspaper reports that Bryant turned himself in last year following the shooting death of a 49-year-old man in July.
