President Trump has arrested diplomatic conversations with Venezuela in his attempt to end drug trafficking and cartels operating in the United States, according to a New York Times report.
The media summoned US officials and said that Trump has closed the door to negotiations, which could launch a greater military action against drug traffickers, cartels or the government of President Nicolás Maduro.
According to the report, Richard Grenelll, the special presidential envoy that led the conversations with Maduro, was informed on October 2 that he should cease all diplomatic contact.

As reported, the president felt impatient for what the administration considers a Venezuelan intransigence.
The reports say that in September, Maduro wrote a letter to Trump and denied that Venezuela traffic with drugs. He offered new negotiations with the United States through Grenell.
The officials also told the New York Times that the president was frustrated by Maduro's refusal to voluntarily resign.
