The Oklahoma City Thunder won the NBA championship over the Indiana Pacers, 103-91, fleeing with game 7 of the NBA finals on its local court excitingly.
The last time this franchise won a NBA title was 1979, when they were still known as Seattle Supersonics. Since they moved to Oklahoma City in 2008 and rename like Thunder, they have not won a title until Sunday night.
The MVP of the Shai Gilgous-Alexander League and his teammates claimed to change that on Sunday night, since their dominant regular season and the NBA playoff career were limited in the best possible way in a game 7 to do or die.

It was the first game 7 since the historical return of the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Golden State Warriors in 2016 when 3-1 decreased in the series. Unlike that confrontation, this series between Thunder and the Pacers has gone from one place to another exciting way.
This is exactly how this game began, with each team exchanging blows on the offensive side. But the Pacers suffered a devastating blow in the first quarter.
Tyrese Haliburton, the Indiana hero during the postseason, suffered an Achilles injury after seeing three of his fourth three -point attempts to total nine points from the beginning.

Initially it was believed that it was a reacation of his calf injury that was suffered in game 5, but his father, John, told Lisa Salters de ESPN that it was an Achilles. While John Haliburton said his son was in a good mood, he quickly considered himself unable to return for the rest of the game.
The depth of the Pacers, which has been a catalyst for the team along the playoffs, had to step forward in the absence of Haliburton, and TJ McConnell was ready for the challenge from the bank. I was on fire, going 8 of 13 by 16 points.
However, Gilgeous-Alexander took advantage of his MVP game level when his thunder needed him more. He may have fought from a three -point land (2 of 10), but he was a creator of shooting for him and others throughout the game, with 29 points, 11 of which come from the free throw line, 12 assists, five rebounds and two blockages.
Gilgous-Alexander was appointed MVP of the Bill Russell finals, marking the first time in 25 years, a player won that award together with the MVP of the League and the NBA score title.

But “SGA” was not alone in his efforts to win everything, since his guard counterpart Jalen Williams poured 20 points, while Chet Holmgren had the offensive game that his team expected after consecutive disappointing performances at that end.
Holmgren ended 18 points and five blockages at the defensive end.
Outside the bank, Alex Caruso, now twice NBA champion, had 10 points, just like Cason Wallace.
The Thunder really began to move away in the third quarter after the Pacers entered the locker room in the long time with the thin advantage of 48-47. They sutured Indiana 34-20 in the quarter, and although we have seen some tremendous return of the Pacers in these playoffs, they could not gather a final surprise in the last quarter.
In order, it was Benedict Mathurin leading the way in the points department, dropping 24 from the bank, including many in the room to try to resort to the game. Pascal Siakam (5 of 13, 16 points, four rebounds, two assists) could not assume the load of scoring with Haliburton.

As a team, the biggest defect of Thunder in game 6 was the big difference in the margin of rotation, which Indiana took advantage. This time, it overturned since the Pacers had 23 ball losses that resulted in 32 points granted compared to the eight thunder ball losses and 10 points outside them.
In the end, the Thunder made this magical season in history as the second group more just to win the Larry O'Brien trophy.
