The View's 'Joy Behar' Starts Worrying About Dem Polls: 'Don't Believe That'

“The View” co-host Joy Behar admitted she doesn't like what she's seeing in the recent 2024 polls and what it could mean for Democrats with less than three weeks until Election Day.

“I'm starting to worry about the polls because I see a lot of media outlets saying he's leading and everyone's getting nervous and everything,” Behar said on Wednesday's show.

Behar and fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg agreed that the press follows the narrative “on purpose.”

“Basically, it's very disheartening for Democrats and people who lean toward Kamala to say, 'Well, what's the point?' Don't believe that,” Behar instructed his viewers.

TRIO OF NEW POLLS ACCEPT WHERE TRUMP AND HARRIS STAND WITH THREE WEEKS TO ELECTION DAY

Three recent polls reveal a very close race, and the momentum appears to be on former President Trump's side.

An NBC News poll of registered voters nationwide showed the vice president and former president deadlocked at 48%. Vice President Kamala Harris has fallen from a 6-point lead last month to being slightly ahead of Trump by 50% to 48% among likely voters in an ABC News/Ipsos poll. And finally, a CBS News/YouGov nonprobability poll of likely voters showed Harris down slightly from a four-point lead a month ago to a three-point lead over Trump.

Trump also appears to be making inroads among black male voters, as former President Barack Obama made viral comments admonishing the demographic for a lack of enthusiasm for Harris.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin intervened in the middle of Behar's tirade and offered that “as hard as it is for us to believe,” many Americans actually still support Trump.

Behar concluded her point, rallying Democrats to get out and vote: “Someone made this brilliant statement once: ‘99% of success is showing up.’ So show up.”

Goldberg, on the other hand, said she didn't let the polls affect her, nor did she necessarily believe them.

“We need to have a lot more trust in the American public,” he said. “Because we talk to people like they're fools. Everyone sees what's going on. They know what they have to do. They have to make a decision. Then they go in, they pull the lever and you and God will do it.” know what you have done. That's how it works.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin also took a cautiously cheerful stance, saying she was encouraged by reports that lines were “around the corner” during early voting in Georgia.

Goldberg agreed and said he hoped there would be similar scenes across the country because people will realize this election is too “important” to stay home.
