The man of San Bernardino enters the cars of the Sheriff's department after being released from jail, authorities say


A man from San Bernardino was arrested on suspicion of breaking into a vehicle from the Sheriff's department shortly after being released from jail, according to the authorities.

Manuel Núñez-Palomino was arrested on Thursday around 10:45 AM in relation to an exceptional order of minor crimes and was admitted to the central detention center of the Sheriff of the San Bernardino County in East Rialto Avenue, according to a press release from the Sheriff's department.

The next day, at 12:18 PM, Núñez-Palomino was released from custody and was seen in security cameras that walked through the parking lot of Sheriff's employees, according to the statement. Núñez-Palomino supposedly took several doors from the doors to try to enter some of the vehicles. The press release was not clear if the suspect was trying to enter patrols or personal vehicles of the department's staff.

One of the agents went to the parking lot and said that he saw Núñez-Palomino open an unlocked door of an occupied vehicle, according to the statement. The car driver was afraid of being stolen, and told him to leave the car.

The deputy in the lot approached the car and ordered Núñez-Palomino to stop, but fled the vehicle and then arrested and arrested under suspicion of attempted vehicle theft, according to the statement.
