The co-elans of the liberal political podcast “Pod Save America” described how the Democratic party is currently supporting one of the worst crises in its history during the Friday's episode of its program.
Coanfitrions Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer broken down new surveys who revealed that the party has lost millions of voters since the 2020 elections. PFEiffer declared that the situation is one of the worst that the party has treated in terms of diminished support.
“I mean, it is in its worst moment that at almost any time in our history,” he said. “And it would probably even include after the 1984 elections, when we lost 49 states.”

Favreau presented the theme discussing the latest voter registration numbers of the Democratic Party published by the New York Times on Wednesday. They revealed that the party has lost millions of voters between 2020 and 2024, while the Republican party has won millions of voters.
“Shane Goldmacher published an extremely exhaustive analysis on Wednesday, which details how in the 30 states that track the registration of voters for affiliation of the party, the Democrats lost around 2.1 million voters between 2020 and 2024, while the Republicans won 2.4 million.”
He continued, pointing out how the Democratic party has not stopped bleeding from the 2024 elections.
“Now there are 160,000 less democrats and 200,000 Republicans more than the 2024 election day,” he said.

The coanfrerion of “Pod Save America”, Dan Pfeiffer, talks about the inability of the Democratic Party to retain voters in the last five years.
The microphone passed to Pfeiffer, who added that reality could be worse for the Democratic Party of what the numbers show because, while Deep Blue California was included in the data, Texas deep red was not, the suggestion is that the Republican party could have even more voters.
“Then, it could be worse, it is what I say,” Pfeiffer said.
“2020 to 2024-Bad F ——- years for the Democratic Party,” said Favreau.

Pfeiffer still had more bad news for Favreau, noting that each of the “basic battlefield states of the United States are becoming more republicans.”
“In 2020, the day of the elections, the Democrats had a registration advantage of 400,000 people in North Carolina. Today that number has been reduced to 17,000,” he said, pointing out that within the same period, that advantage was reduced from 500,000 to 50,000 in the state of Pennsylvania.
Pfeiffer summarized everything, stating: “This is a party in crisis.”
On the other hand, he added, “our approval numbers have not increased. Trust in the party is low. Democratic voters want to change their leadership. I mean, I don't think people at the head of the party are willing to deal with the depth of the crisis in which the party is.”
