The LapD officer shot near Exhibition Park is in a stable state

An officer of the Los Angeles Police Department was shot Saturday afternoon in the exhibition area Park and transported to a nearby hospital.

The officer is in stable conditions.

The shooting took place around 3:45 pm by Martin Luther King Jr. Park near the 39th place and Western Avenue, according to LAPD officer Charles Miller, who said the officer was patrolling the area and that it was not clear what led to the shooting.

“He was hit by shooting, transported to the hospital in stable condition and the suspect was arrested,” Miller said.

Miller said the suspect was not injured.
