EXCLUSIVE – The former Bond villain, Robert Davi, was worried about the future of the 007 franchise even before Bombshell's news, would be to leave the hands of a family dynasty.
For decades, the James Bond franchise has been under the creative control of the Broccoli family, first under Albert Romolo Broccoli, nicknamed “Cubby” and co -producer Harry Saltzman. Then he fell under the care of his daughter, Barbara Broccoli, and her stepson, Michael G. Wilson.
But on Thursday, the entertainment world was shaken by the news that they would give the reins to Amazon MGM Studios. Now, Amazon MGM Studios, Wilson and Broccoli have formed a new joint company to house the intellectual property rights of James Bond. The three parties will continue to be co -owners of the iconic franchise, but Amazon MGM will have a creative control, Variety reported.
Since Daniel Craig officially hung his hat as Bond with his final film, “No Time to Die”, there has been a constant talk about which direction the franchise will take below. Rumors have been turned that there could even be a female bond or a gay bond for the next installment.

Davi, who played the villain of Bond, Franz Sánchez In “License to kill”, he recalled to have had a close relationship with “Cubby” and his wife Dana, and intervened where the franchise is directed in the comments made before Amazon's announcement, admitting that he is worried that Bond can go ” waking up”.
“I hope not,” said Davi, an open conservative, to Fox News Digital. “You know, I was very close to the broccoli 'Cubby' and his wife, Dana, and the legacy … and they were, as far as I am, they were conservatives of Ronald Reagan and wonderful people. And you know, I think if we succumbed In each fashion, especially one that is not based on total science, is a bit scary. “
Davi said a simple solution would be to create a completely new character, instead of completely changing the main fans who have come to know and love how the 007 male and women.

“And I think they should maintain certain things, create a different character, I would say,” he continued. “Believe a different character. Have someone, not Ian Fleming, make someone more write a character based on the current day and then separate that from Bond. But don't try, you know, reinvent. It's good to look at things through of different eyes.
Davi is not the only person in the Bond family who resists such potential changes. In an interview with The Times, British actress Gemma Arterton avoided the idea of a woman 007.
Arterton played the British agent Strawberry Fields in the 2008 Bond movie “Quantum of Solace”. She said Hollywood should respect the character's legacy.
“Sometimes you just have to respect tradition,” he said.
“Isn't a woman James Bond as Mary Poppins played by a man?” He wondered. “They talk about that, but I think people would find it too scandalous.”

NY Post Johnny Oleksinski's writer reacted to Amazon MGM Studios News in a blunt opinion article, declaring that it would be the “death” of the Bond brand.
“Many of them are exceptional and some were lost (cough, 'Quantum of Solace', cough), but all were made with the care and consideration of children with the legacy of a father in mind. That's over,” he wrote.
Amazon, he suggested, will pump all possible content to the detriment of quality now that he has left the family business.
Fox News Digital has communicated with Amazon MGM Studios to comment.
Another former Bond actress, Valerie Leon, who appeared in Bond's films “The Spy Who Loving Me” and “Never Say Never Avery”, with Roger Moore and Sean Connery, respectively, was also upset with the news.
“I think it's crazy, absolute madness,” said Leon, “Good Morning Britain” during a Friday interview, he added: “I really think it is very sad that Amazon is doing this.”
“I alone, the Bond franchise was very British, and it will not be,” he said later.
