The DOJ can look for the death penalty for the murderer of the Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, says Bondi

After the call of President Donald Trump for rapid action, the United States Attorney, Pam Bondi, shared that the Department of Justice can seek the death penalty for Iryna Zarutska's murderer.

Speaking with journalists on Wednesday, Bondi shared that the alleged murderer of Zarutska, decar them Brown Jr., was arrested and is being accused at the federal level.

“We have arrested it. We accused him of Federal because it was a murder in public transport,” Bondi said.

“This young woman died a horrible and horrible death, as we all saw, captured in video,” he continued, and added: “It was horrible.”

“The steps are, we charge, then we accuse. Then, legally, we make the decision to seek or not the death penalty. That is certainly on the table once he is accused of this horrible crime,” Bondi explained.

Zarutska, a 23 -year refugee from Ukraine, was stabbed to death while traveling in a lightwail in Charlotte. The stabbing, captured in video, took place on August 22 around 10:30 pm, since Zarutska was on their way home from work in a pizza restaurant. Still with his uniform, Zarutska sat in front of a man, later identified as brown, with a red hoodie. Moments later, the man took out a knife and stabbed her to death, with several spectators looking.

Brown, 34, was arrested shortly after the incident and hospitalized before being accused of first degree murder. Police confirmed that Brown and Zarutska did not know each other.

Judicial records, previously reported by Fox News Digital, Show Brown has a history of arrests dating from 2011, including the charges of theft serious crime, robbery with a dangerous weapon and communication threats. Most of the charges were removed later.

On Tuesday, Trump asked the government to respond to the series of murders in the United States with a decisive action, saying: “We have to be vicious as they are.”

He blamed the Democratic leaders of the main US cities for adopting “capture” policies “for thugs and murderers.”

“In Charlotte, North Carolina, we saw the results of these policies when a 23 -year -old woman from Ukraine found her bloody on a public train,” said the president. “She was killed by a upset monster that was wandering free after 14 previous arrests.”

“We cannot allow a depraved criminal element of the violent repeat offenders to continue spreading destruction and death throughout our country. We have to respond with force and strength,” Trump said.

In a real social publication, Trump wrote: “The animal that killed the beautiful girl from Ukraine so violently, who came to the United States looking for peace and security, should be given a” fast “judgment (no doubt!) And only granted the death penalty. There can be no other option!”
