Texas lieutenant governor eviscerates president over border crisis, Middle East attacks

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick didn't hold back Monday when talking about President Biden and the repercussions of his “weak” leadership domestically and internationally, telling Fox News that he has left a trail of “death” in his wake. passed.

Patrick first criticized Biden's opposition to Texas law enforcement installing razor wire in a park along the Mexican border in Maverick County that had seen a flood of illegal aliens for some time.

He said that while Texas is not seeking a confrontation with the feds, the border must be secure for the safety of Texans and Americans.

“The idea that the Biden administration wants to prevent us from securing the border says everything you need to know about their goals,” Patrick said.

“And our prayers are with those soldiers [from] Georgia who lost their lives,” he added, referring to three service members who were killed in an Iranian-backed drone strike on a base near the Jordan-Syria border.

Patrick called it another example of the deadly consequences of the Biden administration's leadership.

“Everywhere the president, this president, Biden, goes, death accompanies him: fentanyl across the border, people drowning in the river, people killed here by MS-13; soldiers killed far away,” Patrick said.

When asked by reporters on multiple occasions last fall and in interviews with CBS News, Biden offered the same answer when asked what his message is to Iran and terrorist groups like Lebanon's Hezbollah.

“Don't do it,” Biden said.

Since the fall, there have been at least 165 attacks on US forces in the Middle East.

The three soldiers killed at the Jordanian base, known as Tower 22, were Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Georgia; Kennedy Specialist Landon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Georgia; and Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Georgia.

All three had been deployed from Fort Moore, formerly Fort Benning, Georgia.

Thirteen US service members also died in Biden's much-criticized withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021, after a suicide bomber blew himself up at Hamid Karzai International Airport's Abbey Gate.

In “The Story,” Patrick said he is increasingly confident that the continued fallout from Biden's leadership will lead to him being replaced by former President Trump in the November election.

At the border, Patrick said he visited Texas National Guard troops who continue to install razor wire to Biden's dismay, promising that if the administration orders Border Patrol to cut it, Texas will reinstall it.

He added that about 95% of the cross-border smugglers that Texas apprehends have been American citizens, which he believed was a staggering number.

“[T]Cartels are working with street gangs in the United States to not only move their drugs, but literally send them GPS coordinates to match the people sending them across the border. And the cartels have done it…” he stated.

“[Biden] He is not interested in securing the border. “He doesn't care about that.”

Patrick also noted that Texas passed a law this year that applies a minimum 10-year sentence to any U.S. citizen convicted of assisting cartels in smuggling operations.
