In 2020, Lucci told Fox News Digital that Huber never abandoned her.
“I was very lucky because I married a smart, handsome man, who has a lot of self-confidence and a great sense of humor,” she said at the time. “And fortunately, he's not only been supportive, which is a beautiful word, but he's been there for me, he's really been there for me, he's been supportive and he's been right there. Lucci explained that her mother, Jeanette Lucci, loved the show but wasn't interested in the franchise until “a couple seasons ago.” Susan's assistant told her to give “The Bachelor” a chance.
“My assistant told me that he was going home to watch 'The Bachelor' with his daughters,” Lucci told the outlet. “He said, 'Well, it's really good.' I watched it. The first time I watched it was that night a couple seasons ago. I was immediately captivated by it. I cared. I wanted to know more about these people.”

“I'm in really good shape and I feel really good,” Lucci, a longtime American Heart Association ambassador, told ET. “I had a blockage, a 90% blockage in my main artery and a 75% blockage in the adjacent artery. Speaking to Fox News Digital earlier this year, Lucci recalled the terrifying moment when he realized something wasn't quite right.
“I remember my husband and I were waiting to be seated at a restaurant in October,” she said. “The waiter was coming to check on us when I felt a slight pressure in my chest, something I'd never felt before. It was very mild, so I thought, 'It must be because the holidays are coming up. How many gifts do I have to buy?' I thought it was holiday stress. So I ignored it, like a lot of us women do. I thought, 'I'll get over it.'”
A couple of weeks later, Lucci said he experienced the same symptoms.
“I felt pressure in my chest, but this time it was radiating from my ribcage to my back,” Lucci added. “I'd never experienced that. I've never had any medical issues. So again, I was like, 'My bra is too tight.' I knew it wasn't. I went home, checked it, and it wasn't that. And the pressure just stopped.”
A CT scan later revealed that Lucci had a 90% blockage in the main artery leading to his heart. According to his medical team, if he had not acted on his symptoms, he would have succumbed to the “black widow,” a fatal heart attack. Lucci could have gone to bed that night and not woken up. Doctors inserted two stents.
Lucci said she will continue to raise awareness about women's heart health in hopes of helping save a life.
