After President Donald Trump took the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos to declare that Western civilization must defend itself from existential attack, Somali-born activist and author Ayaan Hirsi Ali said, “Trump is right.”
Trump surprised other politicians and leaders gathered in Switzerland on Tuesday night by declaring: “The West cannot import foreign cultures en masse.”
“The situation in Minnesota reminds us that the West cannot mass import foreign cultures that have never managed to build a successful society of their own,” he said. “We are taking people from Somalia, and Somalia is a failed country. [state]”It is not a nation, it has no government, it has no police, it has no army, it has nothing.”
He went on to say, “In conclusion, the explosion of prosperity and progress that built the West did not come from our tax cuts. Ultimately, it came from our very special culture,” adding, “This is the precious heritage that America and Europe have in common. We share it, we share it. But we have to keep it strong. We have to become stronger, more successful and more prosperous than ever. We have to defend that culture and rediscover the spirit that lifted the West from the depths of the Middle Ages to the top.” of human achievements.”

In response, Hirsi Ali told Fox News Digital that Trump is communicating a critical truth.
“I don't think it's a big deal, I think it's the most important thing,” he said. “Trump is right… and I can't think of a better, more powerful platform than the president of the United States to say, 'Hey, wake up.'”
As a child in Somalia, Hirsi Ali was subjected to a severe form of female genital mutilation. Later in life, she fled the country to escape a forced marriage and served as a Dutch legislator. She now resides in the United States and uses her platform to defend women's rights, criticize Islam, and express support for Western greatness.
“I think every American and every European should know that what the president is trying to say is that what made America and Europe great is that there is a unique culture, if we don't understand that culture and if we don't defend it, we risk losing it,” he said.
“The economy is very important. The military is very important. All of these other aspects of government are extremely important, but more important than all of that is our value system, our heritage and our national identity.”
Regarding Trump's criticism of the Somali immigrant population's involvement in the massive Minnesota fraud scheme, Hirsi Ali said, “I totally agree with the president.”
TRUMP SAYS THE MEDIA IS TOO MUCH FOCUSING ON MINNESOTA ICE COVERAGE, NOT ENOUGH ON CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS

“The president is right when he says that Somalia has not even become a nation,” he said, adding: “Every attempt to build something, to do something out of Somalia has always failed because of the clan code, because of Islam, because of Marxism. We have had all the bad ideologies and, as Somalis, we have run away with them.”
Additionally, Hirsi Ali said the situation in Minnesota exposes a “subversive agenda in the United States to transform and Islamize it using American institutions and American civil rights vocabulary.”
“You see the Somalis exploiting and extracting the benefits system,” he said. “They tell everyone: if you expose this, you investigate it, you object to it, you stop it, you are racist, you are Islamophobic, you are a bigot.”
“If we continue doing what we are doing, getting large numbers of third world people to come and settle in the United States and European countries and depend on welfare, that is, take and take and never contribute, then we are not only setting ourselves up for failure, but we are also committing cultural, national and political suicide.”
To combat this, Hirsi Ali said European nations must follow the Trump administration's lead in sealing their borders. She said both the United States and Europe must also address their extensive social welfare systems, which she said are “too expensive.”
In Minnesota, Hirsi Ali advocated a hardline stance on the Somali immigrant population to assimilate them into American culture.

“We have to force them to assimilate or we have to give them that option and tell them, 'If you don't want to assimilate into American society, then you will be denaturalized,'” he said.
“This isn't just like, oh yeah, it's another day in politics, it's existential.”
Hirsi Ali called Trump's Davos speech a “breakthrough” in making European leaders understand that defending Western civilization must be the “number one priority.”

“JD Vance put it this way: [It’s] Not what we fight against, but why we fight? What are we fighting to preserve? “If you can't answer that question, then I think you're lost, and the European leaders are lost, and I think he's trying to help them find their way,” he said.
