EXCLUSIVE: The republican mayor candidate of New York City, Curtis Sliwa, hit the door to any talk from him leaving the race, and blamed the headline Eric Adams for the emergence of the socialist Zohran Mamdani.
Prominent donors are exploring ways to get SLIWA to leave the race to open the nomination of the Republican Party, with Adams promoted to replace it, according to a Post New York report. Former governor Andrew Cuomo, who lost the Democratic primaries against Mamdani last week, could also be in the ticket in November.
But Sliwa, a New Yorker of a lifetime and founder of the Crime Prevention Group of the Guardian Angels, insisted Fox News Digital that he is the man of work. He also talked about his fractured relationship with President Donald Trump and said he would welcome the president's support, if he arrives.

Zohran Mamdani repeatedly press
He said that the city needs a fighter and that he has already risked his life so that the city is safer, and has the battle scars to prove it. The 71 -year -old man, born in Brooklyn, survived a blow of mafia in 1992 in which he was shot twice inside a moving taxi before jumping through a window.
“The only way you get me from this race before November 4 is in a coffin, in a pine box,” he said. “And people know that Gottis and prawns tried in 1992, and it didn't work and this will not work either. Prepare to see Curtis Sliwa on the Republican line on November 4 “.
Sliwa has directed Los Angeles Guardians since 1979 and said that what separates him from the field is simple: he rides the subway, he talks to people and knows the memory neighborhoods.
“I am the only real New Yorker proven and true. Andrew Cuomo has not lived in the city since 1990. Mamdani has come to Uganda. Eric Adams? Live in Fort Lee,” Sliwa said in an excavation in Adams that has a property in New Jersey. “As the Metro says, New York City also goes. Those are our veins and arteries. None of these other types is in the system. I live there.”
Political experts consider Sliwa's electoral offer as a remote possibility. He was running against Adams in the 2021 elections and lost 66.1% to 27.4%. But the chips could finally fall on the road of Sliwa in November if the vote on the left and the center is divided, with the voters who swing on the extreme left agenda of Mamdani and Adams and the former Cuomo shaking democratic votes with independent races.

Washington Post hits the socialist Zohran Mamdani as a possible disaster for New York City
“Oh, I don't care how many candidates are in the race. Look, we would not be in this situation, people would not even know who Zohan Mamdani is if Eric Adams would have been a successful democratic mayor … Republicans do not trust him, the Democrats do not want it … it is corrupt.”
Adams' mandate was tarnished by federal corruption charges presented under the Biden administration, including accusations of cable fraud and the request for campaign contributions from foreign citizens. Adams denied the charges, which were then removed by the Trump administration.
Adams spokeswoman Kayla Mamelak Altus criticized Sliwa's characterization of the mayor, who told Fox News Digital Sliwa, is becoming “more separate from reality every day and nothing that he never says he should take seriously.”
In the interview, SLIWA also pointed to Mamdani's socialist policies, which include a freezing of rentals throughout the city, a free public bus service and greater property taxes on rich neighborhoods, all the ideas that according to critics already have budgets and failed in Chicago with Mayor Brandon Johnson.
“Just go to Chicago and see the results of what a socialist mayor can't do for you,” said Sliwa. “There are many promises, but there is no delivery.” Mamdani's campaign did not respond to a request for comments.
Sliwa said his campaign focuses on the public safety and affordability of the house, adopting the slogan “improve, not move”, which takes advantage of the unhappy votes that can try to join the exodus of people fleeing the city in recent years.
He also believes that his policy of not killing for the city's animals in the city will bring moderate democrats, voters, younger generations and defenders of animals who do not usually support a republican candidate. Sliwa is known for his deep love for cats, often highlighting his devotion to rescue and care for streets.
Sliwa mocked the notion that the influence of Mamdani's social networks could be a decisive factor, arguing that the race will win connecting with people on the ground. The assemblyman has almost 2 million followers on Instagram, compared to the 66,000 SLIWA, while the socialist candidate has more than 910,000 followers in Tiktok compared to 183,000 SLIWA.

The 'delusions' politicians of the New York called by the founder of Guardian Angels on the violence of the Metro: 'Sknged in the face'
“I know how to attract young people,” said Sliwa, noting that he has been recruiting young people for decades to lead Los Angeles Guardians. “My generation Baby Boomer talks about generation Z as if they were lazy or stupid … they couldn't be more wrong. That pushes them to Mamdani camp.”
A Trump support could also change the impulse in favor of Sliwa. Although he called his relationship with the president a “hatred of love”, Trump's demonstrations in Bronx and Madison Square Garden last year suggest a changing political tide in the city, and a joint appearance with Sliwa could be a change of play.
“I do not talk to President Trump on the phone. I have not been in Mar-a-Lago or I have gone to Washington,” said Sliwa. “It seems to talk to Eric Adams. Look, saved him from going to prison, I understand. In the last elections, I voted for him and encouraged people to vote for him.”
But Sliwa said he is open to receiving Trump's support, even if the race is not at the president's radar.
“Well, if it comes, it's fine. If it doesn't arrive, remember that I ran the last time, President Trump didn't support me,” said Sliwa. “[Trump] He did not support Eric Adams. Basically he stayed out of the race. He has enough problems to deal with: Ukraine, Russia, will obviously be his beautiful bill and everything else he has in his dish that is important geopolitical. Who is the next mayor of New York City should be the last in his priority list. “

Sliwa's campaign has so far lacked a lot of visibility, given in which it won the republican nomination without answering. But he said that victory unlocks vital correspondence funds that will turbocate their campaign in the general elections.
“So now I have the resources. I am in the streets and in the only place that Zohan Mamdani is not, nor any of the other candidates. I live in the subway and that is the melting pot for all people in New York City.”
“The blue -collar working class, hipsters, millennials, generation Z and people who are Baby Boomers. And if you are not in the subway, which is a large focal group, you are not dealing with regular average daily people, because as the subway goes, so the city of New York goes.”
“They are our veins and arteries.”
