Slipknot's Sid Wilson hospitalized with severe burns after farm explosion


Sid Wilson, a member of heavy metal band Slipknot, suffered “severe burns” after experiencing a “fire explosion in my face.”

“My face is burned and my cheeks are burned,” Wilson, 47, shared in an Instagram video from the hospital. “I had an explosion on my face.”

The keyboardist was hospitalised with an oxygen tube and wires attached to his body. Wilson appeared to have difficulty speaking after the incident, which he later said occurred after lighting a bonfire on his farm that he shares with girlfriend Kelly Osbourne.

“I'm fine. I'm going to be okay, but I have some serious burns on my face and arms,” ​​Wilson updated her followers.

The DJ's phone was shaking in the video after the traumatic experience. He explained that doctors took X-rays of his body to make sure he didn't “inhale flames.”

Wilson went on to show the damage to her face, which included “burned” eyebrows, a blister on her mouth and her arms covered in burn marks.

Slipknot's turntablist assured fans that he “will be fine” following his hospitalization.

“I don't care what it takes, I'll see you on tour.”

Throughout the video, Wilson expressed that his body was “in a lot of pain.” He continued to provide updates and said that doctors treated his injuries.

She accompanied her video update with the caption on social media: “Ouch.”

Osbourne, 39, can be heard in the background with her 1-year-old son, Sidney.

The TV star also posted a video on social media and said: “This is why you shouldn't play with burning hemorrhoids.”

In Osbourne's video, he shows Wilson in the background in a hospital bed.

The next clip had a caption that read “I have no words” and Osbourne shook his head.

Meanwhile, Wilson shared a second video on social media in a vehicle. He explained that doctors had transferred him to another hospital with better facilities for “burn victims.”

Wilson showed a close-up of her lips and said they were “scorched pretty badly.” Her arm and body were bandaged after suffering severe burns.
