A shooting on Friday in a pub in Toronto, Canada, left a dozen injured people, while the police continue to look for the suspect.
Toronto police responded around 10:40 pm to the shooting in the Progress Avenue and Corporate Drive area in East Toronto. The shooting occurred near the city center of Scarborough.
According to CBC, there were shooting reports and an active shooting inside a Scarborough pub, Toronto Firefighters services said, according to CBC.

The 12 victims were transported to a hospital to receive treatment. The police said that four of the victims suffered wounds that did not enhance life, but the reach of the injuries of the remaining eight is not clear.
Police said the suspect carried a black Balaclava mask and was seen driving in a silver car, CBC reported.

The mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chow, said in X that “she is deeply concerned with listening to reports of a shooting in a pub in Scarborough.”
The mayor said he spoke with Toronto police chief, Myron Demiw, and he assured him that “all the necessary resources have been deployed.”

“This is an early and continuous investigation: the police will provide more details. My thoughts are with the victims and their families,” Chow said.
