The lawsuit was filed Monday in federal court in New York. Combs' attorney disputed the claims, calling them “pure fiction” in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.

“We have overwhelming and indisputable evidence that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this evidence with Mr. Jones' attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish accusations. before the courts and take all appropriate measures against those who commit them.”

Last year, Comb's ex-girlfriend Cassie, whose legal name is Cassandra Ventura, filed a lawsuit against Combs alleging that the rapper had abused and raped her during the course of their complicated relationship. According to the lawsuit, Cassie and Combs met when she was 19 and he was 37, but did not begin a romantic relationship until years later.
The lawsuit details Combs' alleged “uncontrollable anger” and how he allegedly hit his girlfriend on multiple occasions. At the time of the filing, his attorney issued a statement that read in part: “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and scandalous accusations. Ms. Ventura's $30 million demand, under threat of writing a damaging book about her relationship, was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail. “Despite withdrawing the initial threat from her, Ms. Ventura has now resorted to filing a lawsuit riddled with baseless and outrageous lies, aiming to tarnish Mr. Combs' reputation and seeking a payday.”
