Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, while not completely ruling out the possibility of being former President Donald Trump's running mate, is making it clear that she plans to run for re-election in 2026.
“I love Arkansas and I feel like I just started here one year into office,” Sanders said Monday while delivering a speech at the Arkansas Christian Schools Summit. “There's a long list of things I want to happen.”
Given that Trump is the frontrunner in the Republican presidential race (winning both the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary), expectations are growing about who the former president would choose as his running mate. Sanders often appears on speculative lists.
