Russia seeks the 'Ironclad' vote that Ukraine kept out of NATO, foreign troops stay out

According to the reports, Russia's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Grushko, said the Kremlin wants a guarantee of “Ironclad” that Ukraine will be prohibited from joining the organization of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO), while the Trump administration works to negotiate an agreement to end the fight.

“We will demand that Ironclad's security guarantees become part of this agreement,” Grushko said, according to Reuters, Grushko, according to Reuters. “Part of these guarantees should be the neutral state of Ukraine, the refusal of NATO countries to accept it in the alliance.”

According to reports, Grushko did not mention the proposal of Alto El Fuego de 30 days, which was accepted by Ukraine with American negotiators in Saudi Arabia last week. The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has declared that any agreement must first meet the crucial conditions.

The special envoy of the United States to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said Sunday that Trump and Putin are expected to talk on the phone this week. Witkoff himself described having a “positive” and “solution -based” meeting with Putin in Moscow last week.

According to reports, Grushko reiterated in the interview with Izvestia that Russia remains strictly opposite to the deployment of European troops to Ukraine, since Great Britain, France and Australia have indicated to be open to send a “peace maintenance” force to the country.

“It doesn't matter under what label the NATO contingents would be deployed in the Ukrainian territory: be it the European Union, NATO or in a national capacity,” Grushko said, according to Reuters. “If they appear there, it means that they unfold in the conflict zone with all the consequences for these contingents as parties in the conflict.”

“We have never been so close to peace” Since Russia invaded Ukraine, Leavitt tells journalists

“We can talk about unarmed observers, a civil mission that would monitor the implementation of individual aspects of this agreement or guarantee mechanisms,” Grushko added, saying that an agreement must be reached first. “Meanwhile, it's only hot air.”

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, held a virtual meeting on Saturday with 26 nations potentially willing to participate in a “Peace Maintenance Force” in Ukraine, Telegraph reported.

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, meanwhile, was summoned to several French media on Saturday that the intention is to “deploy a few thousand men by nation, at key points, to carry out training programs” and “show our long -term support.”

“If Ukraine asks allied forces to be in their territory, it does not correspond to Russia to accept or not,” Macron said.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also said he would be willing to send troops.

Grushko also argued that a solution to the three -year conflict could only be sustained if European allies to kyiv understand that Ukraine must be prohibited by NATO membership and foreign military contingents remain out.
