Firefighters are battling a growing wildfire in Northern California that has forced the evacuation of at least 13,000 people and another day of extreme heat is expected.
The Thompson Fire created a massive plume of smoke and grew to cover nearly 5 square miles by Wednesday morning.
The quake struck Tuesday about 70 miles north of Sacramento in and around Oroville.
