Photos: A star-studded 4th of July in the American South

The stars and stripes were out in force on July 4th.

Huntington Beach hosted activities throughout the day beginning with its annual parade and ending with fireworks on the beach.

Up ahead was the Hermosa Beach Ironman, which consists of a mile-long run on the beach, a mile-long paddle in the ocean, and multiple adult beverages immediately after exiting the water.

Have a look.
