Mayor Stefan Roots said: “This is a sad day for the city of Chester. We don't like this type of crime.”
“I will say this to anyone who wants to challenge our police officers when they are in the line of duty: Don't do it. Don't do it. It results in a tragedy like the one we've seen today,” Roots added.
