Nick Cannon may have been hoping for a reconciliation with ex-wife Mariah Carey, but he has accepted that is unlikely to happen.
During an August interview with E! News, Cannon, 43, who was married to the 55-year-old singer for eight years, told the outlet that he would “absolutely” get back together with Carey.
“I'd be stupid if I didn't,” the “The Masked Singer” host said. “We're made for each other.”
However, Cannon admitted to People magazine in a recent interview that his chance to be with the “Fantasy” hitmaker has passed.
“Yeah, she doesn't like me,” he said. “She's over my craziness.”
Carey and Cannon began dating in early 2008 before tying the knot at her Bahamas estate in April of that year. In April 2011, the couple welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe, but they split in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016.

Cannon and the five-time Grammy Award winner remain on good terms and continue to co-parent Morrocan and Monroe amicably.
Since his divorce, Cannon has become the father of 10 more children with five different women.
Comedian and model Brittany Bell has three children together: son Golden Sagon, 7, son Powerful Queen, 3, and son Rise Messiah, 6 months. She has two sons, twins Zion and Zillion, 3, and daughter Beautiful, 1, with radio host Abby De La Rosa.
Reality star Bre Tiesi has a son with Cannon, 2-year-old Legendary Love, and model LaNisha Cole also shares a son with him, 1-year-old Onyx Ice.
Cannon's youngest child is one-year-old Halo Marie, born in November 2022, a daughter he shares with model Alyssa Scott. Their daughter, Zen, died at 5 months of age in 2021 due to brain cancer.
While speaking to People, Cannon said he has strong co-parenting relationships with all of his children's mothers.
—Yeah, I mean, in their honor, you know what I mean? —he said—. Dealing with me must be crazy.

“At the end of the day, if you put the kids first and remove the ego, you can accomplish anything,” Cannon added.
The “America's Got Talent” alum shared details about the “great summer” he enjoyed with his kids.
“We spent a lot of time in Malibu, traveling and going to the beach,” Cannon told People. “I think all the kids had a great time.”
Cannon said he is now preparing his brood to return to school, which has prompted him to recall “fun” memories from his younger years.
“It reminds me of when I was in school, buying clothes for school and getting the kids excited,” she said.
However, Cannon said some of her children were reluctant to start school again and leave summer behind.
“I have a 7-year-old son in fourth grade,” Cannon said of Golden. “He's so smart that even school is boring for him.”

She continued: “It's like we're re-engaging him and getting him excited because he had so much fun over the summer. It's like, 'We can still have the same amount of fun during the school year,' but it's about keeping the excitement going.”
Meanwhile, Cannon admitted that being a father to teenagers Moroccan and Monroe is “very scary.”
“Teenagers are scary. I feel like I'm still a teenager,” he said. “Watching my daughter literally turn into a young woman before my eyes is very scary.”
