An alleged incident that involved the Marshal of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Skylar Thompson Skylar in Dublin, last week received a new turn on Monday when the team returned to the United States.
The Irish police said there had been no formal complaint in relation to the reports that Thompson was assaulted and stolen in Dublin while his team prepared to play the Minnesota Vikings in the first regular NFL season game in the country.

A Siocána Garda, the National Police, said he had no information to corroborate the robbery report that involves Thompson.
The NFL network reported that Thompson was stolen and suffered minor injuries in the incident. Irish Media reported that “several males were involved in an assault on Thompson near the temple bar area” and that his phone was stolen.
Police said the officers were involved early on Saturday when they met a man who required medical assistance.
“The 20 -year -old was treated and evaluated in the scene by emergency services staff,” police said without commenting on the assault report.
The Steelers issued a statement about the incident.

“We are aware of a situation that involves Skylar Thompson on Friday night in Dublin,” said a Steelers spokesman to NFL Network. “We will not have more comments at this time, since we are working with the security of the NFL to collect more information about the incident.”
The NFL players association also commented on the incident.
“As always, our priority is the health and safety of the members of our players, especially as we continue working on the protections and well -being of the players while we play international games, and we will continue supporting Skylar in any way that he needs,” said the union.
Thompson, 28, signed with the Steelers in January after spending time with the Miami Dolphins. He was activated to the list in March and obtained the work of support for the Marshal of Campo Aaron Rodgers.
It was placed in the injured reserve on September 10 due to an lesion in the hamstrings. Thompson, Rodgers and Mason Rudolph are quarters on the list.
