MSNBC has issued a correction to a TikTok video that appears to confuse Joe Rogan's praise for former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard with praise for Vice President Kamala Harris.

After Rogan and Gabbard criticized the outlet for “deceptively editing” a video to make it appear as if “The Joe Rogan Experience” host was praising Harris when talking about Gabbard, MSNBC issued a correction.

“We have removed an earlier version of this post that incorrectly implied Joe Rogan was speaking more about Vice President Kamala Harris. He was referring to Tulsi Gabbard,” the outlet said in a note added to the new version of the video.

The original MSNBC clip is from August 2.

During an episode of his podcast on Tuesday, Rogan explained how MSNBC took his comments about Gabbard out of context and applied them to Harris.

He said: “But here's what MSNBC did: They took a clip of me talking about Tulsi Gabbard and edited it to make it look like I was saying great things about Kamala Harris.”

The host denied rumours that he was planning to take legal action against the network over the clip, saying: “I'm not going to sue MSNBC.”

Rogan specifically accused the network of having “deceptively edited things that he was saying” and “taken completely out of context.”

He claimed the outlet took clips from two separate segments of his podcast — one of him predicting a Harris win in November and another of him praising Gabbard’s experience — and put them together to make it appear he was endorsing Harris for the White House.

“I was talking about Tulsi Gabbard, who was a congresswoman for eight years, and how she served overseas. [as part of] “We've been on two medical deployments to treat people who died in war,” he said, adding: “That's not something Kamala Harris did. That's something Tulsi Gabbard did.”

MSNBC “posted it as a clip of me praising Kamala Harris.”

Gabbard called attention to the MSNBC clip in question in an X post earlier this month, claiming the outlet “deceptively edited this video of different comments from Joe Rogan to make it look like he was praising Kamala Harris.”

Gabbard's post included an alleged portion of the original TikTok, which featured a clip of Rogan telling political commentator Michael Malice that he believes Harris will win the presidency.

The TikTok video immediately cuts to another clip of Rogan saying, “She's a strong woman. She's a woman who served overseas twice, in a medical unit. She was a congresswoman for eight years.”

Gabbard claimed that in the latest clip, Rogan praised Gabbard's military and political record during another segment of his podcast. Like Rogan, she claimed that the clip was cut along with the host's actual prediction that Harris “will win” to make it seem like all of his comments were about the vice president.

The original scam TikTok is no longer available.

“This is another example of how MSNBC is working hand in hand with the Democratic establishment and the Kamala Harris campaign to try to spread lies, just things that are not true,” Gabbard said.

MSNBC's corrected TikTok removes the alleged clips of Gabbard and features an extended portion of Rogan's interview with Malice in which he claims Harris will win because the media is manipulating people into rejecting Trump.
