Media ignores evidence that Hunter Biden sold access: Jonathan Turley

Fox News contributor and constitutional law expert Jonathan Turley reacted to the Justice Department's claim that a Romanian oligarch paid Hunter Biden to influence the US government while President Biden was vice president. He criticized the media for “ignoring” the “overwhelming evidence” that Hunter Biden “was paid millions to influence policy.”

DOJ CLAIMS HUNTER BIDEN WAS HIRED BY ROMANIAN OLIGARCH TO 'INFLUENCE US POLITICS': DOCS

JONATHAN TURLEY: It is very frustrating for many of us who have been writing for years to not understand why a FARA charge for being an unregistered foreign agent was not filed. This file is replete with contracts, so it seemed to meet the standard used in previous cases during the Trump administration. You couldn't have an official go to Epcot without getting a FARA charge from the Department of Justice. It seemed to be one of the most pervasive charges coming out of that department. Biden HunterThey've systematically ignored the overwhelming evidence that he was receiving millions to influence politics. So now, after all this time, Weiss brings this case to court saying, oh, well, yeah, we know he was running this because he was receiving money to influence American politics from this Romanian. And it left everybody scratching their heads. It's like saying we can prove the carjacking because we know he used it in the kidnapping. And the question is, well, why didn't they charge him for the kidnapping?

Biden won't pardon Hunter, White House reassures, but critics aren't so sure

During the impeachment inquiry, House Republicans said there could be evidence that Hunter received money in exchange for influence in U.S. politics. Prosecutors say Hunter received $3 million and worked for Romanian oligarch Gabriel Popoviciu, who is facing a criminal investigation in Romania. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, a Republican, said “the bank records don’t lie.”
