Max Homa is among several big names that do not meet the exemptions for the US Open 2025 in Oakmont, leaving its destination more OK to a qualifier in Ohio on Monday.

Nicknamed “The longest day of golf”, Homa was one of the numerous golfers, including Rickie Fowler, Cameron Young, Bud Cauley, Jake Knapp, Padraig Harrington and Adam Hadwin trying to qualify for Oakmont in 10 different places throughout the country.

Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club was home to six of the classification places, and the golfers were in two rounds on Monday. But in his hole 36, a whore put Homa on a playoff of five men, along with Fowler, Young, Eric Cole and Chase Johnson. Young took the last place with a Birdie at Hole 38.

But Homa was in his alone throughout the day, since he and his two -month caddie, Bill Harke, are no longer together, according to an informed person of the division that only said Harke “lost his job.”

Therefore, Homa wore her own bag for the 38 holes.

“I prefer to talk about golf instead of all questions about the caddie,” said Homa. “I'm fine. He just stepped on 36”. “

But apparently, he didn't seem to care.

“It seems better than when someone is standing by my side for some reason,” he said. “I might need to walk alone. Maybe I looked at him as a pleasant and peaceful walk. I probably have to fight some demons and not have anyone to lean on. Maybe that helps a little. There is no one … everything is me. The battle helped me a bit.”

As for golf?

“It will probably be heartbreaking, but it's fine,” said Homa. “I have not brought my 36 holes in a long time, so I'm a little tired.”

Homa is not completely out of the United States Open. He is playing the Canada Open this week, although he would probably have to win to enter the top 60 and qualify.

The Masters was Homa's first cut since last year's open championship, and T12 ended in Augusta. But since then, it has finished 70, T30, T60 and T51. Last year, he took the tenth place in the world.

In a somewhat ironic way, Fowler qualified for this year's open championship with a Top 10 ending in the memorial on Sunday.
