A Las Vegas couple was arrested more than a month after allegedly opening fire on a homeless encampment, killing two people and wounding three others.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrested Cristóbal Omar Pérez, 31, and his girlfriend, Kylee Au Yong, 21, on Thursday.
Both suspects, according to the Associated Press, have been charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Police are also seeking to identify a third suspect.

Police said the incident took place around 5:30 p.m. on December 1, when an armed man was left in a black van near a highway overpass in the northeast part of the city.
The gunman allegedly went to a homeless encampment and opened fire before being picked up in a getaway car.
Homicide Lt. Jason Johansson said the shooting is believed to have been planned in advance.

While it appears to be a target, investigators said a motive has not been identified.
FOX 5 in Las Vegas reported that Au Young appeared in court Friday morning. During the brief hearing, the judge ordered Au Young held without bail.

Pérez also had a hearing but did not appear for unknown reasons. Like Au Yong, Perez was ordered held without bail.
