Kesha has always been known to give her all for her fans. However, this time, she apparently didn't know what she was getting into.
During her performance at Lollapalooza 2024 on Thursday, the 37-year-old singer dominated the stage with renditions of some of her biggest hits. During her performance of “Backstabber,” Kesha, who sported a blood-stained tank top and miniskirt, took her theatrics to the next level as she ran around with a knife and constantly made stabbing motions.
There's one problem, though: The “TiK ToK” singer claims she didn't know she was performing with a “real butcher knife.”
“Apparently the prop knife went missing and was replaced with a real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen. And I didn't know about it until now,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter) after the performance. “Look at that again.”
Britney Spears Receives Police Welfare Check Following Disturbing Knife Video
“OMG! That's so unprofessional,” one fan commented.
“What if you had decided to wing it? They should open an investigation with your team and someone should be held accountable. That's very bad,” wrote another.
Representatives for Kesha did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Kesha isn't the only star who has pushed the boundaries with dangerous accessories.

In September 2023, Britney Spears shared a video of herself dancing with knives. The action eventually led to a police report.
Once the sheriff's department established from two independent sources that Spears was not in any physical or emotional danger, officials felt comfortable enough to resolve the call without incident.

The pop star opened up about the knife scare with another video of her dancing with the same knives.
“I know I freaked everyone out with the last post but these are fake knives my crew rented from the Hand Prop store in LA,” she explained. “They are not real knives. No one should worry or call the police. I'm trying to imitate one of my favorite artists, Shakira… a performance I was inspired by!!! Cheers to us bad girls who aren't afraid to push boundaries and take risks.”
