Former Vice President Kamala Harris revealed in her next book, “107 Days”, that then President Joe Biden shook her just before being face to face with the candidate Donald Trump in the debate stage.

According to the reports, Biden called Harris while sitting in a hotel room preparing for the only debate of his abbreviated campaign. Apparently I wanted to wish her luck and scold her.

The then president said: “My brother called. He has been talking to a group of real power runners in Philadelphia,” according to an extract of the book in The Guardian. Then he allegedly asked if Harris was familiar with several people related to the matter, which was not.

“His brother had told him that those guys were not going to support me because he had been saying bad things about him. I was not willing to believe it, he said, but he thought I should know in case my team had been encouraging me to put the light of day between the two,” Harris wrote in the book, according to an extract of the book in the Guardian.

Biden then talked about his previous debate performances, leaving Harris confused, “angry and disappointed,” according to The Guardian. He was upset because his boss had called before a critical moment in his political career and did “everything about himself.” Harris added that Biden was “distracting me with concern for hostile power runners in the largest city in the most important state.”

While Harris avoided criticizing Biden during his campaign, he has used his next book to shed light on tensions between them while taking his place as a democratic presidential nominated. Harris's book will arrive on the shelves on September 23, but has already caused conversations about the 2024 electoral cycle.

In another section, Harris said that while “it is Joe and Jill's decision” he became a mantra before the 2024 electoral cycle, he said it was “recklessness”, instead of “grace”, according to an excerpt published by the Atlantic.

“'It is Joe and Jill's decision.' Everyone said, like a mantra, as if everyone had been hypnotized.

Harris also revealed in his book that the Secretary of Transportation of the then Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, was his “first option” as a formula partner, not the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz. However, she said it was “a very big risk” because the campaign “was already asking for a lot of America: accepting a woman, a black woman, a black woman married to a Jewish man.”
