Vice President Kamala Harris made a cameo on the final episode of “Saturday Night Live” before Tuesday's election alongside her impersonator on the show.
Harris appeared as the “mirror image” Saturday night of herself, played by Maya Rudolph, at the end of the cold open that mocked Donald Trump wearing a sanitary vest at a rally this week, as well as repeated Joe Biden's mistakes.
Rudolph's Harris wondered: “I wish I could talk to someone who's been in my shoes. You know, a black South Asian woman running for president. Preferably from the Bay Area.”
It was then revealed that Harris was sitting across from her at the table, prompting huge applause from the audience. Harris smiled and said, “You and me, sister.”

Harris then attacked Trump, saying, “I'm just here to remind you that you've got this. Because you can do something your opponent can't do. You can open doors.”
Trump was seen struggling for a moment to open the door of the garbage truck he spoke to reporters about this week. The garbage truck and vest were intended to draw attention to Biden's suggestion this week that Trump supporters were “trash.”
Rudolph mocked Harris' distinctive laugh, prompting Harris to ask, “I don't really laugh like that, do I?”
“A little,” Rudolph replied.
What followed was a series of rhymes around Harris's given name, as Rudolph said, “Kamala, take my palm-wing.”
“The American people want to stop the chaos,” Rudolph said, with Harris adding: “And put an end to the drama.”
“With a cool new stepmom. Put our pajamas back on. And watch a romantic comedy,” Rudolph said, and the two then touted their “belief in the promise of America.”
Rudolph added at the end of the sketch: “I'm going to vote for us.”

“Cool. Any chance you're registered in Pennsylvania?” -Harris asked.
“No, I'm not,” Rudolph said.
“Well, it was worth a try,” Harris said, before the two delivered the show's signature: “Live from New York, it's Saturday night!”
The Trump campaign disparaged Harris' appearance on the show when reports of her “surprise” cameo emerged on Saturday.
“Kamala Harris has nothing substantial to offer the American people, which is why she's living out her twisted fantasy by cosplaying with her elitist Saturday Night Leftists friends while her campaign falls down the drain into darkness. For the past four years, destructive policies Kamala Han's “It led to unspeakable misery and pain for all Americans. “She broke it and President Trump will fix it,” spokesman Steven Cheung told Fox News Digital.
Harris wasn't the only Democrat to make a cameo on the show.
Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, Hillary Clinton's 2016 running mate, also appeared in a skit in which a game show contestant couldn't remember who Kaine was.
Numerous politicians have appeared as themselves on SNL over the years, including Trump, who hosted the show in 2015 as a presidential candidate. He also hosted in 2004. The show has made no secret of its disdain for the Republican candidate and celebrated his defeat at the hands of Biden in 2020.
