The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles will play in Brazil on September 6 in the second game of the NFL season, but their fans will have to be careful with their wardrobe, according to new Packers running back Josh Jacobs.
“In the part of Brazil we go to, you can't even wear green. They said, I guess, something to do with gangs and stuff,” Jacobs revealed in Chris Long Podcast.
Green is the main color of both teams.

Maybe gangs aren't the real problem.
The match will be played at the Corinthians Arena. Corinthians' archrival is Palmeiras, who wear green, and the team has unwritten rules about wearing green inside the stadium. Signs around the stadium say the color is “forbidden.”
Jacobs said he was told to pack in black and white, which shouldn't be a problem for him as a former Raider.
But Jacobs said the teams won't exactly stay in the best part of Brazil, so it might be best to stay neutral anyway.

“[The NFL] He said: 'We're not going to Rio.' They said, 'Man, it's one of those places where they probably won't even let us out of the hotels,'” Jacobs added.
“I was looking forward to it. It was about to be a fun week. They said, 'No, it's not going to be like that.'”
The Packers have alternate non-green jerseys and helmets with their old Michigan-look uniforms.
While the Eagles have a black alternate jersey, they do not have a helmet that is not green.

Who knows if this is just a miscommunication, but it's safe to say Jacobs will probably err on the side of caution.
