Influential Conservative Group Launches Massive Advertising, Grassroots Campaign on Haley’s Behalf

FIRST ON FOX – Americans for Prosperity Action, the political wing of the influential and wealthy fiscally conservative network founded by the billionaire Koch brothers, is launching a new phase in its massive advertising and grassroots effort on behalf of Nikki Haley’s campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. .

The ad blitz, which was first shared with Fox News on Friday, includes banner ads, digital ads and connected TV ads that will air starting this week in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. The campaign will also affect Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia, four of the 15 states that hold presidential elections on March 5, known as Super Tuesday.

AFP Action, which pledged to spend tens of millions of dollars to help the Republican Party overtake former President Donald Trump when it endorsed Haley in late November, says it will commit an initial $27 million to this new wave of its campaign in course.

“Poll after poll shows that Trump is the weakest candidate compared to Joe Biden,” emphasizes the narrator of the group’s ad.

WAR OF WORDS BETWEEN HALEY AND DESANTIS REACHES FEVER POINT

A series of recent polls on the 2024 presidential election indicate that Haley leads President Biden by larger margins than Trump in hypothetical general election matchups.

“Nikki Haley crushes Biden by double digits. She even beats him in the swing states that Trump lost in 2020. It’s clear. Nikki Haley would be the strongest candidate to stop Biden and help elect Republicans across the country,” adds the narrator. “She is a proven conservative fighter. With the criminal trials against President Trump and the liberal media coming after him, our country cannot risk four more years of Biden and Harris.”

Trump remains the favorite for the Republican nomination in his third consecutive bid for the White House.

Trump’s lead widened last spring and summer when he made history as the first former or current president in U.S. history to be charged with a crime. The four indictments against Trump — including those filed in federal court in Washington, D.C., and in Fulton County Court, Georgia, on charges that he attempted to overturn his loss in the 2020 presidential election — have only escalated. his support among Republican voters.

But Haley, a former two-term governor of South Carolina who later served as ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump administration, has enjoyed plenty of momentum in recent months. She has caught up with DeSantis in national polls and in the latest Iowa polls, she has overtaken him in New Hampshire and narrowed the gap with Trump in the Granite State, which holds its primary eight days after the caucuses.

AFP Action’s endorsement instantly gave Haley, who until recent weeks had been running an efficient campaign, the grassroots reach and organizational strength that DeSantis has enjoyed, due to significant help from the DeSantis-aligned super PAC, Never Back Down.

The electability argument presented by AFP Action in its new blitz reflects what Haley has repeated and shown during the election campaign and what the super PAC that supports her has highlighted in ads. As part of her speech, Haley highlights how polls suggest she beats Biden more convincingly than Trump.

“Nikki Haley is by far the strongest candidate Republicans could run against Joe Biden, and no one else is even close. Nikki Haley would push Republicans up and down the ticket,” said AFP Action Director Nathan Nascimento, to Fox News in a statement.

But Trump’s political orbit dismisses the effort.

“Americans for Prosperity has already set millions of dollars on fire in these primaries just to see President Donald Trump’s lead grow. No amount of money can break the bond President Trump has with voters. He kept his promises,” Karoline Leavitt , Trump spokesperson. -Make America Great Again Inc-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc., she said following AFP Action’s endorsement of Haley.
