HSI RAIDS NIGHTCLUB, arrest 36 accused of being illegally in the United States

Federal agents raided a nightclub on early Friday and arrested 36 Chinese and Taiwanese citizens suspected of being in the country illegally, authorities said.

Los Angeles National Security Officers, Immigration and Customs Compliance Agents of the United States and members of the Royal Financial Crimes Task Force of El Camino made arrests during “an application operation in an underground nightclub” according to a statement shared in X.

A video shared by HSI Los Angeles shows an officer who puts a vest in a parking lot before dawn, before moving on to a day light scene of a group of people curled up on the sidewalk outside a building, some with their heads inclined. Officers are shown by handling individuals and carrying them in white vans.

It is not clear where the underground nightclub is located.

More details about the research were not available immediately. The role of the task force of real financial crimes on the road in the raid was not clear either.

The group is an initiative of several federal and state investigators agencies focused on financial crimes in southern California. Members include HSI Los Angeles, the criminal investigations of the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Prosecutor's Office for the Central District of California and the California Department of Justice.
