“From Hamas to America” author Mosab Hassan Yousef said Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden administration have not acted quickly enough to stem rising tensions in the Middle East, especially between Israel and Iran.
Yousef, who defected to Israel in 1997 and converted to Christianity in 1999, is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a co-founder of Hamas.
“This is total denial,” he said Monday night on Fox News' “Hannity.” “This is Kamala Harris trying to bury her head in the sand.”

“Because [do] They want to legitimize Islamic violence as [if] “This is part of their life and we have to coexist with Islam as it is,” Yousef said, criticizing Harris' rhetoric on terrorism amid threats Iran has leveled at Israel in recent days. “The more we legitimize terrorism and violence, the more we ignite their bloodlust and this is not acceptable.”
Yousef argued that the Biden-Harris administration has allowed the conflict in the Middle East to worsen by failing to act quickly.
“The crisis we have now, which finds us on the brink of a regional war, is the result of the vacillation of the American administration,” he said.

“Iran is not, or rather, the Islamic Republic, and the Ayatollah does not only attack Israel,” Yousef continued. “For them, America is the great Satan. They always chant 'death to America' before saying 'death to Israel.'”
“This is, first of all, a strategic enemy of the United States and, in fact, Israel is fighting on behalf of the United States in this region,” he said. “After October 7 and this vacillating policy towards the Middle East, where, basically, we see that Iran is on the verge of obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
“We bury our heads in the sand and let them go,” Yousef said. “They are not that far from getting a nuclear bomb. We want to give the Ayatollah a weapon of mass destruction and we are watching him. We see his nuclear program and we deny it completely. This is madness!”
