The Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa farm is trying to block the police codecam videos, videos and images related to the couple's deaths.
The lawyer Kurt Sommer presented a petition on Tuesday at the State District Court in Santa Fe trying to prevent the medical investigator and the Sheriff's office for Santa Fe County from publishing images, according to the new Mexican of Santa Fe.
The petition tries to block the launch of the couple's autopsy and the “death investigation” until they can be litigue, according to the medium.
Sommer wrote that once the images “the bell cannot be unraveled”.

Sommer argued that the couple's right to privacy exceeds public interest in the couple's death. He cited the death of Kurt Cobain in his request and pointed out that a court refused to release the photographs of “Death Scene.”

Sommer had no comments for Fox News Digital.
Associated Press reported that the petition detailed the gene and discreet lifestyle of Betsy in Santa Fe.
The deceased “lived an exemplary private life for more than thirty years in Santa Fe, New Mexico and did not show his lifestyle,” according to the petition.

The Heritage of Gene and Betsy is represented by Julia Peters, partner and main lawyer of the investment firm of Avalon Trust Co.
According to the petition, Peters was the third option as a representative of Estate Hackman. According to the new Mexican of Santa Fe, Betsy was Gene's first option, and his second option was the lawyer Michael G. Sutin. Sutin died in 2019.
The department of the Santa Fe County Sheriff confirmed during a press conference that Betsy probably died on February 11, and Gene probably died a week later.
Betsy died of Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, New Mexico officials said to journalists. Gene died from hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimer's disease as a significant contributory factor.
