Fox News voter analysis provides great insight into Republican race

It's caucus night in Iowa and our Fox News voter analysis has been asking likely Republican caucusgoers in the state (more than 1,500 of them) who they support and why.

Conducted alongside our partners The Associated Press and NORC at the University of Chicago, Fox News will use this innovative election polling approach during the 2024 primary season.

On a personal level, what do Iowa Republicans think about your family's financial situation? As we've seen in national polls, Iowans say they are in bad shape financially. About one in 10 say they are moving forward, while three times say they are falling behind. Most say they remain stable.

That's how Iowa Republicans describe their finances. (Fox News Voter Analysis)

In Iowa, we'll also look at questions like who was able to motivate first-time caucus attendees to get out into the cold weather and put in a few hours on Monday night? Are Republican caucusgoers interested in a candidate who has good policy ideas? One who is a strong leader? What about defeating President Biden in the fall? Is that what Iowa Republicans care about most?

We will also delve into the most important problems facing the country. Is it the economy? Abortion? Immigration?

And will Republicans come together and support their candidate in November, or are we facing the possibility of the party splitting?
