Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann called for the Supreme Court to be “dissolved” following Monday's unanimous ruling against Colorado's removal of former President Trump from the 2024 ballot.

“The Supreme Court has betrayed democracy. Its members, including Jackson, Kagan and Sotomayor, have proven to be inept at reading comprehension. And collectively the 'court' has proven to be corrupt and illegitimate. It must be dissolved,” Olbermann posted in X.

One follower responded: “Dissolve the separation of powers to save democracy?” And Olberman responded: “If the political whores on the court are nullifying some pretty explicit language in the Constitution to benefit a politician, their 'separation of powers' died a long time ago.”

The far-left media personality also responded to a conservative who told him to “cry more” by declaring, “Those aren't tears, fascist. They're urine. I'm sure you enjoy bathing in them.”

Olbermann also said the Supreme Court is “betraying America once again,” in a video posted on social media. All nine justices ruled in favor of Trump in the case, which will affect the status of efforts in several other states to remove the GOP front-runner from their respective ballots.

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann called for the Supreme Court to be “dissolved” following Monday's unanimous ruling against Colorado's removal of former President Trump from the 2024 ballot.

The court considered for the first time the meaning and scope of Article 3 of the 14th Amendment, which bars former officials who “participated in the insurrection” from holding public office again. Challenges to removing Trump from the 2024 ballot have been filed in more than 30 states.

“We conclude that states may disqualify persons who hold or attempt to hold state offices. But states have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency,” the Court wrote.

Olbermann, the firebrand known for his stormy departures from MSNBC and ESPN, has been among former President Trump's most outspoken critics, even moving out of his luxury New York City apartment building because he owned it.

In 2017, Olbermann was widely criticized when his anti-Trump book featured on the cover an image of himself wrapped in the American flag, which visibly touches the ground, a violation of the American flag code.

He famously stepped away from ESPN before the 2020 election so he could speak out against Trump on YouTube and social media.
