Former Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich predicts Biden will stay in the race


Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich reacted to President Biden's message long-awaited press conference at the 2024 NATO Summit on Thursday, saying the commander-in-chief made clear he would not back away from the 2024 race.

Blagojevich told Fox News host Jesse Watters on “Jesse Watters Primetime” that he believes Biden will stay in the race despite growing calls from members of his own party for him to step aside.

“The only way they can get a new candidate is if [Biden] “He's willingly agreed, if he's willingly agreed to step aside. He's made it clear that he's going to run. It looks like everything indicates that he's going to run,” the former governor said.

Blagojevich added that Democrats are in a “real bind” because millions of people have already voted in state primaries for Biden to be their party's nominee, but Actor George ClooneyHollywood elites and others say he should retire.

“What's happened to the Democratic Party is really a question of whether they're going to support the workers that they're supposed to support, who they've actually abandoned, or whether they're going to listen to their Hollywood financiers, their Wall Street financiers, their Silicon Valley billionaires about what they want,” he told Watters.

Biden remained defiant throughout his press conference in Washington, DC, telling reporters that he is the “most qualified person” to do the job of president.

Several House Democrats and one Democratic senator have called on the president to drop out of the 2024 race following his disastrous performance in last month's debate, according to Fox News.

Blagojevich said he ultimately believes that despite mounting pressure, Biden will stay in the race because he is thinking about his legacy and resents “Democratic ward bosses” who are calling for him to step down.
