America's team apparently isn't for everyone.
The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable franchise in North American sports. Simply put, Jerry Jones has built an empire.
That empire, however, has extended far beyond the playing field. AT&T Stadium cost $1.3 billion to build, and The Star, the team's headquarters that houses a practice facility and shopping center, cost $1.5 billion.

But one former Cowboy seemed to hint that all extracurricular activities can be a distraction.
Dalton Schultz spent his first five seasons with the Cowboys before signing a one-year contract with the Houston Texans before last season.
Schultz said he was afraid to leave Dallas, considering it was all he had known in the NFL. But once he came to the Texans, he was relieved to learn that the organization's “focus is just football.”
“That was one of the first things that caught my attention, it feels like a lot more, I don't want to say college because it's not, but the focus is just football, you know what I mean?” Schultz said in “The Pat McAfee Show” On Wednesday.

“Going back and telling some people how to be at the Cowboys' practice facility, on game day, describing some of the interactions and things that you see on a daily basis surprised a lot of people. They're like, 'Holy crap, is that really happens in a practice centre?' “You think it's normal and then you come to a place like this.”
What has apparently been considered abnormal, Schultz revealed, is that fans can watch the team train through one-way mirrors, turning the facility into “a zoo.”
“There are people literally doing rounds while you lift weights in the weight room. And they have a one-way mirror so people can look. It's a zoo, man. There are people tapping on the glass, trying to get people's attention.” while doing energy cleansing or whatever. “It's just different.”
“That's the brand they've built. That's what Jerry Jones likes. That's the way they run things, and there's nothing wrong with that. You just don't realize how many eyeballs and how much that can “Take your mind off things. Just being in a locker room, being in the facility until you go somewhere else, and you're like, 'Oh my God, man, there's nothing like that.'”

Schultz reportedly recently signed a three-year extension with the Texans after playing a vital role in their offensive game plan, helping CJ Stroud win the Rookie of the Year award last season.
Houston made the playoffs by winning the AFC South and many expect them to be an even bigger threat in 2024.
