An alleged child sex offender featured on “America's Most Wanted” was arrested in Florida over the weekend, authorities said.
Davie Albarran, 51, who had a warrant out of Osceola County for sexual assault of a child under 12 and lewd conduct with a child under 12, was arrested in Lakeland Sunday night, he said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd on Monday.
He also did not pay child support in a case out of Orange County, Judd said.

“Well, he made a mistake,” Judd said during a video posted online. “AMW (America's Most Wanted) took him across the country and he got to Lakeland. When he got to Lakeland, we got classified information. They said, 'Hey, we know where this guy is.' So we snuck out Sunday night, right before midnight, in a backyard on Country Haven Drive. Well, it might have been Country Haven Drive, but it wasn't a refuge for him.”
After his capture, Albarrán told agents his name was José, Judd said.

Albarrán appeared on the police show in December 2022, Judd said. Her daughter, Ana, previously said she wanted to lock up her father, FOX 35 Orlando reported. She created a social media post urging anyone who saw him to call authorities.
“Please share and paint the city with his face,” he wrote. “My father, Davie Albarrán, is a pedophile, he is on the run and the police are looking for him.”

She accused him of acting inappropriately towards her when she was a child.
“When I posted it, a lot of people said, they gave me messages saying, you know what, your dad did that to me too,” he told the news station in 2022.
