A Democratic super PAC is spending $1 million on a campaign to pay social media content creators to post pro-Biden messages.
POLITICO informed the PAC, US Prioritiessupports President Biden's re-election and is recruiting 150 creators on TikTok and Instagram to attract young voters ahead of the 2024 elections.
Danielle Butterfield, executive director of Priorities, told POLITICO that they are using influencers to spread pro-Biden messages in key states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and Georgia.
“As we look ahead to 2024, we felt it was important to reach voters where they spent their time,” Butterfield said. “We will be very successful in marketing Biden's accomplishments when we can anchor them in terms of impact and real people and put some personality behind what Biden's accomplishments are doing.”
