Deion Sanders focuses on his situation as a field marshal with the Colorado buffalos, but made a bold prediction about the future of his son Shedeur Sanders with the Cleveland Browns.

“Coach Prime,” he said he thinks his son will start for the Browns at some point in this season.

Sanders shared his thoughts on Monday about the “New Heights” podcast, telling the hosts Jason and Travis Kelce that “has a feeling when it will fall.”

When asked what advice they gave Shedeur, who is waiting for his turn behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, Deion said: “Be patient and get ready.” He refused to reveal when he expects Shedeur to make his first beginning, and the Kelces did not press him.

Chief coach Kevin Stefanski has not given indications of a quarterback change. Flacco has taken the Browns to a 1-2 record through three games, with the inconsistent offensive but the defense among the best in the League.

Shedeur is not even the main backup at this time. Gabriel, selected two rounds before in the NFL 2025 draft, obtained that role after pre -season evaluations, Stefanski said.

Deion also reviewed Draft's night drama, confirming that Shedeur slipped to the fifth round before being chosen by Cleveland. He said the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles showed interest.

CAM Newton, former general selection number 1, recently pointed out the search for Shedeur of the Eagles. As for the Ravens, Deion essentially confirmed reports that his son told Executive Vice President Ozzie Newsome that he was not interested in sitting behind Lamar Jackson in the long term.

“How in the world someone can blame [Shedeur] To say or think: “Why would the world return to Lamar for 10 more years?” Deion said in the podcast. “I've never sat at the bank and said: 'Well, today I learned a lot.'”

The Browns wrote Shedeur with the expectation of developing it for the future, with Flacco seen as a stopgap until one of his rookies is ready. Until now, the coaching staff believes that Gabriel is ahead, but the season is still young.

For now, Shedeur remains the third in the depth table, although Deion is still sure that his son will eventually have his chance. It remains to be seen if that comes this season.
